Amalgamation Class at Arthur Murray Reno is for students working their Bronze 1 and above. You must be an Arthur Murray member to attend these classes and have basic knowledge of the first three school figures of the dance of the class you wish to attend.
The definintion of Amalgamation is “the act of combining or uniting separate things into a single, unified whole”. In dancing, we make amalgamations by using the school figures and changing the beginnings or endings or by adding other steps (or parts of steps) into the begining, middle, or end. This is when your basic school figures really start to feel unique and different.
The class is every Saturday afternoon at 12:45pm. We work on one dance in each class and introduce different ways to combine patterns together. Arthur Murray Reno offers Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Hustle, Samba, West Coast Swing,Argentine Tango, and Country Western 2-Step in Amalgamation classes.
