Viennese Waltz music has inspired people to dance for generations. The most romantic of all the ballroom styles, the Viennese Waltz originated in Vienna, Austria. It\u2019s fast, whirling movements make it the picture of elegance as dancers move gracefully across the floor. While commonly danced in competition to the music style of Johann Strauss, some of the most famous love ballads such as Whitney Houston\u2019s \u201cI Have Nothing\u201d are Viennese Waltzes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Viennese Waltz is basically Waltz music played at a much quicker tempo. While slow Waltz is played at 28\u201336 measures per minute (MPM), Viennese Waltz is played at 50\u201360 MPM. It is usually played in 3\/4 time, but some Viennese Waltz’s are written in 6\/8 time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
