Arthur Murray Dance Studios

Dancing becomes easy and fun the moment you begin dance lessons with one of our friendly Arthur Murray experts. Hundreds of thousands have already learned to dance the Arthur Murray way. You do not need to bring a partner to learn and enjoy dancing in any of our studios.

You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. The length of your training depends upon how many dances you would like to learn and how proficient you would like to become in each dance.

We are famous for making learning to dance fun and easy. We teach four simple basic movements from which new combinations are derived.

The cost depends upon a number of factors: how proficient you want to be, which dances you want to learn, the number of days and weeks in your dance schedule, etc. Most studios offer an introductory lesson special that will get you up and dancing right away. After that, your instructor will recommend the most suitable program so that you can make the decision regarding your desired progress.

You can learn the steps in any or all social and nightclub dances: Swing, Samba, Merengue, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Tango, Waltz, Fox Trot, Country and more

We are extremely aware that life tends to be busy for most people. We will be able to accommodate any schedule. Studios are open Monday – Saturday. Please check each individual studio for specific hours. You can find the closest studio near you using our Studio Locator

All of our dance experts must complete a very arduous training regimen. They are experienced on the dance floor and are knowledgeable in techniques that will help you master today’s popular dances. Rest assured that the instructors selected for you are the best in the business.

Dancing is the first line of social activity. Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, poise, confidence, improved personality and new friends. It is also a superb physical conditioner, providing fun without extreme effort. Learning to dance will open up a wonderful new world of togetherness and a thriving year-round social calendar.

No, you don’t need a partner to learn to dance. At Arthur Murray, you can learn to dance on your own or with someone special. Whether you are a single, couple, or have a partner that isn’t interested in learning to dance, you are welcome to join us and learn. We have a great community of dancers and a welcoming environment that includes all types and ages of people.

While our instructors dress in business attire, our students wear a variety of things: anything from jeans and a t-shirt, to work attire, to getting all dressed up for a night out of dancing. For shoes, just make sure you wear something that won’t slip off your feet while dancing. Ballroom dancing shoes are not required.

​​It totally depends on how quickly you learn, how good you’d like to become, and how many dances you’d like to learn. Just to learn a few basics only takes a handful of lessons. To be comfortable dancing to any music with any partner, that takes about 6 months to a year. After your first lesson, your instructor will be able to recommend the quickest way to get to your dancing goals.

Pretty much everything. Partnered dancing can be done to Big Band, Latin, 80’s, Top 40, Classic Rock ‘N Roll, Bossa Nova, Motown, Disco, Country Western, etc. If there is a beat, you can learn to dance to it! Check out our What We Teach page for more info.
