AMI
The Unit System
Try our three-step method of private lessons, group classes, and practice parties, and you’ll be on the dance floor in no time!
Unit 1
Personal Lessons
One-on-one instruction is essential to learn quickly and easily. Personal lessons are personalized by what you’re taught, how you’re taught, and the pace at which you’re taught. Whether you’re looking to work up a sweat or take it easy, stand out on the floor or blend in with the crowd, we’ll customize a lesson just for you.
Unit 2
Group Classes
Group instruction is perfect for repetition and the best way to gain muscle memory. A group class allows you to practice with a variety of partners. This ensures great dancing habits, good lead and follow, and the chance to meet other students in the studio. While there’s always plenty of people to dance with, you are by no means required to change partners.
Unit 3
Practice Parties
Your chance for practical application before hitting the dance floor. Practice parties are a great way to practice all you’ve learned in your private lessons and group classes. It’s a chance to get comfortable dancing with others on the floor, to a variety of music and with a variety of partners; all with the instructors there to help you fine-tuned your skills.
Benefits of Dancing
Learning to dance is about more than steps, it’s about transformation. Dance has the power to improve your health, expand your social life, and boost your confidence both on and off the floor.
Some students begin for fitness, others for a fun date night or a special event. Whatever your reason, Arthur Murray lessons are personalized not only to what you learn, but how you learn and what you want to gain from the experience.
We’re in the business of creating great dancers but more importantly, we’re in the business of transforming lives, one step at a time.
Popular Benefits Our Students Experience:
The Medalist System
Backed by 114 years of refinement, the Arthur Murray Medalist System sets us apart. Our clear syllabus, structured progression, and proven teaching methods provide a reliable path to achieving your dance goals.
Arthur Murray instructors are continuously trained and certified, ensuring that every lesson has a clear purpose and direction. Our system makes it easy to Walk In, Dance Out®.

The Basic Introductory Program
The basic program develops the skills you need most, so you can step out on the floor quickly. You'll be introduced to a few basic steps, their timing, and how to adapt them to a couple of styles of music.
By using our interrelated system of teaching, you'll start learning to dance in a way that not only makes it easier, but is fast and efficient.

The Bronze Program
The ultimate path to becoming a good social dancer. In this program, dancers learn a variety of patterns and more specific placements of their feet. You'll learn how to recognize different timing and rhythms and how they apply to different styles, as well as up-to-date social dancing etiquette. Along the way, you'll be introduced to good lead and follow skills and basic techniques in each style of focus. Using our 28 points of teaching, we'll make sure you'll not only know what to do, but how to look good doing it.
By the time you've finished bronze, you'll be comfortable and confident with virtually any partner, to any music, in any situation. The best part is, the skills you learn in Bronze won't just last while you're taking lessons, but for a lifetime.

The Silver Program
Once dancers have completed Bronze, this program is designed for dancers that want to stand out on the dance floor. Dancers will learn more complex, flashier moves and gain greater expertise with lead and follow. They'll also master techniques of their chosen styles of dance to gain more grace, fluidity, and overall finesse.
As an added bonus, this is typically the point where picking up any new style of dance is easier than ever before.

The Gold Program
Students at the Gold level have completed Bronze & Silver and are now learning at the highest level that Arthur Murray has to offer. Choreography, styling, and showmanship are at the heart of focus. While dancers can compete regardless of their level or program, Gold dancers are typically seasoned veterans of the competition floor. Not only could they bust a move with a bronze dancer, but showcase intricate patterns with sophistication and grace.
Just like some people choose to pick up tennis or golf, some choose dancing as their new hobby. It becomes more than just a set of skills for a specific event or time in their lives. It's a continual pursuit of knowledge, experience, and an overall lifestyle.
